BLOG - 5 Changes To My Study Programme

Before I started the university, I had no idea what the faculty and my career would be like. When I arrived on the first day, I imagined that the faculty would be a little better in infrastructure and that we would have a big casino so we could eat comfortably (thinking about the number of students coming in). There were also rooms that were not in good condition and more for rainy and winter days. 

 When I saw this, it bothered me a little but as time went by I started to like it a lot, since they improved the infrastructure and were able to add a casino. Also, I feel that it is a very nice and open place where you can share with many students outdoors.

The technology in the faculty is good and there are many resources that can help us in our respective careers. In the case of geography, the use of software programs and in the special case the use of drones. 

In my career (geography), there is a variation of approaches (social, scientific and investigation). This makes the career very interesting at least for me. However, there are subjects such as the first year that I find very useless and very difficult, making many of the students unable to approve, as mathematics, physics and epistemology. Also, I think that for a career with interesting subjects, I feel that one semester is too little time to study them.

The career is 5 years long and you can specialize in several areas, working in the research and project creation side, urban planning, environmental impact projects, etc.

The geography teachers are mostly very good and dedicated, who teach very well, although some are very strict when it comes to evaluation.
